Key responsibilities

  • Accounting document processing, data entering, balance controlling of Group subsidiary companies.
  • Preparation and submission of financial and tax reports.
  • Prepare business trip accounting and monthly closing procedures.
  • Actively participate in Group wide projects.
  • Provision of support to chief accountant in daily work.
  • Assistance in audits, providing all necessary documents and information to auditors.
  • Consolidated and FinRep reporting, financial and performance reports to management.

We expect

  • Degree (or current enrolment) in accounting / economics / finance, or completed courses in accounting.
  • 3+ years experience in accounting, preferably in financial sector.
  • Professional education and work experience in finance or accounting would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with systems such as CRM, SWIFT, Alliances and the like.
  • English language — advanced.

What you’ll be working with

  • Development of the Compliance system through enhancement of the Policies and procedures and control over relevant area conducting relevant monitoring, testing, and review;
  • Participation in working groups on behalf of the Compliance Department;
  • Maintain communications processes to ensure policies and procedures as well as significant updates in regulations are shared with stakeholders;
  • Participate in the process of due diligence of business partners;
  • Ensure compliance training sessions and awareness to the staff;
  • Maintain relevant registers.

We expect:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Fintech that has scaled/related fields. BA degree in Finance or business management, IT.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills, comfortable communicating with the senior management and the regulators.
  • Experience of operating in an environment with multiple regulators and having different reporting requirements.
  • Setting the tone and compliance culture.
  • Surveying and interpreting our regulatory and broader risk landscape.
  • Being the ultimate point of escalation for regulatory issues and the key owner of our approach to upcoming new regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience of effective communication with all levels.
  • English language — advanced. Writing skills (C1, C2) is a must.
  • Advanced Computer literacy (Excel, queries to DB) are highly welcomed.

What you’ll be working with

  • The foundation of our stack is Kotlin/JVM and Spring Boot. If you haven’t tried Kotlin before, don’t worry: it’s very quick and straightforward to learn when coming from Java.
  • Our backend platform is composed of stateless RESTful web services Development and enhancement of the Compliance system.
  • We use PostgreSQL without an ORM and write native SQL queries with compile-time checking, making full use of its features.
  • We run everything in Docker containers and orchestrate using Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform.
  • We take testing seriously and have a fully-audited, streamlined CI/CD process that allows us to make daily releases across many projects.
  • Although you will primarily be responsible for the backend, we don’t limit the preferred scope of work for our developers: if you want to contribute to the frontend or our infrastructure, you can.

Hiring process

  1. You send us your CV. In your CV we specifically look for your total years of experience in the industry, your responsibilities at your current or last place of work, and your education. It would be great if, you also include a list of technologies you personally enjoy working with.
  2. We pick up your CV and invite you to an interview with some of the teammates where you’ll be able to tell us more about yourself and ask questions.
  3. The interview is conducted remotely over Google Meet.
  4. If we feel like you could be a good fit, we give you a take-home assignment, without a deadline.
  5. When you finish the assignment, you send it in, and we invite you to a technical interview.
  6. We get back to you within one workweek with a final verdict.

Responsibilities

The full scope of the duties depends on the profile of the successful candidate.
Development and enhancement of the Compliance system.

For the legal profile:

  • Advisory, regulatory horizon scanning around various jurisdictions, gaps’ assessment and implementation of relevant enhancement across Bilderlings.
  • Drafting of opinions, policies, procedures, minutes of the committees and/or forums.
  • Coordination and responding of the inquiries of the correspondent banks and vendors, maintenance of the actual due diligence questionnaires, surveys, forms.

 

  • Policies and procedures management, maintenance of various registers.
  • Perform various general administrative duties, collaborate with stakeholders to create a culture of compliance, or to execute job
    duties.
  • Gather or assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory inquiries and inspections, internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a fintech that has scaled/related field is an advantage, however under the certain conditions the role could be suitable for the entry level also.
  • Bachelor/master’s degree in law or economics or business is preferable. Could be last course student.
  • Strong communication skills. Stakeholders’ centric approach.
  • Accuracy, attention to details, analytical skills.
  • Time management and ability to work with big volume of information.
  • Strong Computer literacy. MS office is a must. Advance Excel knowledge and/or experience in AI usage is an advantage.
  • English language – advanced. Writing skills (C1, C2) is a must.

Key Responsibilities

The employee’s responsibilities will vary depending on their experience and may include:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with databases, SQL,
