A POS terminal accepts various payment cards, including those issued by banks, gift cards, loyalty cards – whether chip, magnetic stripe, or contactless. Different POS terminals have different connection types and features. Stationary terminals are tied to a single port and cannot be moved. GSM-connected terminals are extremely versatile for use in restaurants or locations where a stationary port is unavailable; however, they require merchants to pay for mobile connection fees.
POS terminals may be connected to a PIN pad that speeds up customer service and enhances privacy.
Which POS terminal is best suited for your company?
If you have a regular internet cable and do not need to move the terminal, choose ICT220 + PIN pad
IPP220 or IPP320 (with larger PIN entry buttons).
If you require portability and have WiFi or a SIM card, iWL250 is a better choice.
If you need a unique solution with extra features (integration with a cash register or other device), use the IPP terminal.
